POLEJAM GANGBANGIN

So last Thursday I had conformation that the wieners at the youth council had rejected our application for funding on the pole-jam. Apparently they didn’t think the use of the application was going to reach enough people and that it lacked an in-depth description of what a pole-jam is and how it is used.

Forgive me for my ignorance but I think that even if I had taken the timeout to explain the intricacies of how skateboarders enjoy riding over bent poles, the pre-pubescent future conservative MPs would still rather give their hard-argued cash to kids who parent are base heads or windows 98 laptops for some young writers group to pen morrissey-esq poems.

HOWEVER after a bit of string pulling, case making and general threatening I had it confirmed mid-week that the council have found budget to support the pole-jam. RESULT.
At this stage I'm just awaiting confirmation that they have sourced the funds so I can go back to FreeStyle and talk installation dates etc.

This leaves us with the big question, where ya'll wan the fucking thing to go?

In my mind there are 2 options. . .

OPTION 1-
Slap bang in the middle of the flat (in the space between the rails and the block)
Pros: lots of space to skate it, straight run up, should stop the scooter kids from loitering in the space before launching themselves into a homosexual frenzy over the spine.
Cons: another obstacle in a good space for games of skate etc.

OPTION 2-
Some where round the back of the 2ft quarter in line with the block
Pros: lines would look crazy rad and we get to keep the s.k.a.t.e-zone obstacle free
Cons: no straight run up, doesn’t get in the way of the scooter kids.

I'll keep everyone updated on the progress but in the meantime if people could holla at me with their thoughts it would be much appreciated.

POLE JAMMIN

So I'm sure you were all writing us off and noting 2013 as the year Plank Pushers dies but just incase you havent noticed we're probably about half way through the 6 plauges of Moses and any minute now we're about to plan our skate journeys in between storms of locus'.

As the internet dust collects on our small patch of the world wide web I share with you whats in the pipeline for 2013...

Our dear friends at Gravity have been putting together plans to present to the council to install a pole-jam before the summer. Jury is still out on where it will be placed so any ideas holl at me.

On a side note, clowns who feel the need to impress their peers by writing graffitti on the grind box in an attempt to mug me off, you dont see the irony beind writing it on the block you skate and the boxI got built . . . we know who you are.

In other news:
Previously featured skateboarder come Tailor Chris Bull has been photographed and questioned for a 'working class heros' section Sidewalk mag. STOKED!

Also featured in Sidewalk is long time friend and son of comedic comedian Ginger Jeremy Jones. Who has earnt his first light. Still no pics of it but totally worth buying to see(I imagine).

Scottish-but-yet-local Ross has been steadily painting the park tartan for the past few months thus wearing down his usual feet sheath's into nothing more than jesus creepers, and when £££ gets low you gotta skate in what you can . . .

STILL RUNNING

With rain stopping play skateboarding has been pretty scarce or constrained to the local. This was until Big Nick sniffed out a gem in the soon to be Mini dealership come half finished warehouse seen below . . .

Aside from the audaciousness of having to navigate two fences and arguably the best bit for skating being wide open to the peepers of passers by of Slough a few lines were captured on the bro-cam mk2. Hardly surprising that Her Majesty's finest would roll up and stop play really.

Other than this crumb of a post (mostly made up of reposted still images theived from George Martin)the footage being stacked at the moment isnt gathering dust and hoped to be displayed for your dry eyes soon.

This installment of where are they now covers another Ex-windsor skateboarder come BMXer who is now a fully fledged baithead. Last spotted in Revolution night club in reading dressed like the lost member of JLS and trying to impress girls with card tricks like a pervy Dynamo.


Most memorable for kickflip attempts with both heels touching the floor, creating fake myspace accounts and becoming a delusionable badman after buying one of those mopeds which look like grown up motorbikes.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

With the lack of blog cam, shit weather and everyone fully back on work mode the majority of skateboarding that has taken place has gone undocumented. But fear not as it is likely to return soon.

In absence of skateboarding I want to give birth to 2012s first new feature. 'Where are they now?'

Our first instalment is odd-ball ex-windsor skaterboarder Christian Elderfeild. Most notable for his odd-humor, funny noises, hardflips and love of under-age slags he is now making his way outside of skateboarding as a stand up comedian!
