We welcome another rad dad to the ranks as we have conformation this morning that little Nicholas Clements was born at 9.5 oz. No doubt as soon as his legs are big enough for a board and his feet big enough for a pair of blazers he'll be forced down the park. Mad love goes out to Nick and Michelle.

FLOOD LIGHTS

As well as a space to amuse, Plank Pushers is a space to inform, with this I bring you new hot off the presses about the Floodlights are the skatepark . . .



A timer has now been installed by the council which will mean the lights are on from 5-9pm weekdays. They wont be on at the weekends at the moment as the park staff arnt available to close the park so late. Although with this being said we are pushing for something to be organised.

A little edit from a Saturday at the local, padded up with arty replays of the finer things in life. With winter fast approaching and the clocks going which ever way they've moved its almost definitely Autumn now, which always spells more time at the local as missions to new park and new street spots become more of a plan for when the sun shows its face for longer days.

Summer seemed to separate a bit of the wheat from the chaff unusually but lets hope the Winter dosnt stamp on the fingers of some of the clingers on. Just sorts the skaters from the scooterers.

PUB QUIZ PHOTOS

The 30th of September marked our first Skateboard Pub Quiz to raise Money for Macmillan Cancer support. The evening seemed to go off without a hitch, skateboarders united together for an evening of geekery and beer consumption which is what I always like to see and in that process we managed to raise just under £120 for a very good cause.





















HUGE HUGE thanks to Slam City Skates, Death Skateboards, Vans Footwear, Keen Distribution, Rock Solid Distribution and Writerstailblock, whose generous contributions made the night worth while. As well as an equally as massive huge thank you to Arran Gregory who kindly donated two amazing pieces that contributed a huge amount to the total donation, and a wink and a nod to Nick Thomas for coming out with the camera to document the proceedings.

Recent Decents

With the public holidays celebrating the re-birth of our fictional saviour and the added bonus of Illuminati favourites the royal adding to their mob giving us all a few days off its been nice have a decent shred.
I went up to Red-Bull Manny Mania last weekend where Jersey contingent, Plank Pusher and K-town local Luka Pinto smashed it taking 4th in the UK even after a few Red Stripe . . .

The day after was Adidas 'The Obsticle'. Fucking rad event, free Nandos, Free shoes and good times. This time Ginger Jeremy and Jerome (last trick in said video above) were representing for Natterjacks (Kingston) and Consipracy (St. Albans) respectively. Sadly neither of them go their hands on their share of the £1000 but they both killed it.

With that being said Jerome was having a good enough time chilling with celebs . . .


In other news, hot of the press from Alex Le Mes over at eghammassive.blogspot.com, we can look forward to this only a 15 minute drive from the ends!
