RECESSION HITS HARD . . .

BREAKINGNEWS-BREAKINGNEWS-BREAKINGNEWS

Stu and I had a meeting with the council today, and to cut a long story short the powers above have had to cut the funding for the skatepark.
This means that all council run competitions will cease to be and that the park will no longer be manned, thus meaning that Stu, becca, Josh (BMX) and I will no longer be working at the park.
This is all affective of the 31st of this month.

But we are still talking to council as they are keen to run The Werrics still they just need to arrange a date of which to start it but there is talk of an entry fee of no more than £2. Which im sure will be nothing to most people if its the choice of skating The Werrics or Hovis car park.
Also the proposal for the concrete grind box is still going ahead as its being put together by the BBB comittee which is a seperate element and we should have an answer about the funding available on the 27th.
With regards to the lights and grind box etc. the lights will probably end up going on a timer which we dont know or not whether we will be able to have control over even if we have the key and the ramps will probably still come out but who knows how often.

Im sure weve probably all taken advance of how much control weve had over the skatepark through stu and I and it might come to a bit of an end but im sure were gonna keep on running competitions etc. all it means for now is that were gonna be able to have a tin or too whilst skating whithout giving a shit.
