GRIND GO-AHEAD + FINAL DATE

FINALLY, today was a wet and cold day and I was due down the skatepark for the digging of the 'Trial Hole'. The trial hole was to see what the ground was like underneath the tarmac so that the builders can see if the its suitable to build on.

Heres the builder getting busy cutting the hole.

Heres the hole in all its glory, not very exciting I agree but it shows 'type 1 covering' aparently exactly what the hoped would be underneath.

Heres the hole a bit deeper, hardly any more amazing but this is about how deep they are going to dig to lay the foundations.

- THE INTERESTING BIT -

All this means that the building is perfect to go ahead! They are hoping work starts on the 26th of April (weather permitting) and will take 4 days to build. Whilst they are building the park will be closed so we're hoping the block should be ready to skate for the beginning of may. ALSO I posted that the wallie-able ends on the design had to be scrapped due to budget constraints BUT aparently after costing they have allowed us to have tham again (but this is still in disscussion).

Finally Ive had alot of people asking about heights and sizes just to let you know, the height of the big longer peice is going to be 7 meters long and is going to be the height of the flat ledge at southbank and the manny-pad is going to be 3 meters long and the height of the halfpipe/manny pad currently at Windsor.

If youve got any questions leave a comment below and Ill try my best to answer them, any complaints go fuck your self you dont know how much work goes into getting this built !
